Let it be known that overall Oliver does not stick his head where it does not belong, except when he's trying to hide his rawhide bones. The bag was empty until he got to it. It is a totally good hiding place, mind you. We won't throw that bag away for a few hours yet.

I'm glad I don't work on a passenger boat nowadays. At the company party for gazelle.com, we were on a boat. I had a pretty good count of how many times I've seen that video, but now I don't know how many times I've heard that song.

Wine List

I have a knack for naming stuff (including pets), but I don't really believe that this is a special skill. A good photographer friend of mine says he doesn't want a website because he wouldn't know what to name the site or the pictures. This is just silly when his stuff is good and speaks for itself. A name doesn't really need to be clever or have a deeper meaning. I'd argue that most artists name stuff random because they realize the irony behind naming a picture. It's either that or Untitled1, Untitled2, Untitled3...

That said, this one is for dad, cause you gotta have fun with a last name like Wine.

[Day late; still have inconsistent internets. Called Verizon today and got on the DSL waiting list since the local office is at max capacity. According to the regional sales rep, the local office does not take bribes. I did offer Alya's amazing chocolate chip cookies and she drooled a little over the phone before saying "no." More cookies for me; less internets though.]

Alya woke me up the other day and asked if I wanted to go to the beach. In my sleepy stupor, of course the answer is "no." But she got me up and by noon we were on the beach enjoying the rays. She made a new friend a few days ago (with Oliver in tow to assist) whom has a gorgeous and brilliant (almost) 3 year old daughter, Tabitha, who would not let us sunbathe and instead wanted us to freeze in the water. The clouds later in the day made us shiver, but it was well worth it to enjoy such a beautiful girl.

Also I taught her about erosion and how it pulls the sand from under her feet. She understood completely and suddenly could balance with the waves. She is very cool. Hopefully we can all go to the beach again soon.
You may or may not have noticed that I have a thing about religion: I like it, but not in a I-love-(G/g)od(s) sort of way. I went to school for Comparative Religion and left before I completed my general education. I believe I had enough credits to double major in Religion though. Alas not graduating cause I was bored with the required Phys. Ed. and science courses makes me a dumb guy (obviously). Nevertheless my college experience provided an excellent background to crack jokes at all religion (including mine).
That being said, my friend Paul Mandel is heading up the Boston venue hunt for
